Hog farm eliminates lagoon surface crust and cuts effluent BOD — documented MICROBE-LIFT®/HOG programme.
Commercial hog farm — archived partner study · South Korea · 15 January 2024
The challenge
According to Ecological Laboratories’ published account, the farm operated a concrete lagoon system whose surface was completely encrusted. That crust interfered with manure pumping and field application, and odour was a significant operational issue.
The approach
A MICROBE-LIFT®/HOG biological programme applied under Ecological Laboratories’ field methodology — the same product family we size and supply for pig and dairy operations across the UK and Ireland.
