Brewery monitoring pond achieves 48% COD and 91% TSS reduction in just eight days — no chemicals required.
Hatay Brewery — archived partner study · Hatay, Vietnam · 1 December 2024
The challenge
The 150 m³ monitoring pond exhibited COD of 164 mg/L, TSS of 74 mg/L, visible sludge and scum, and persistent odour — all failing to meet the brewery's high environmental standards.
The approach
MICROBE-LIFT® biological programme applied to the monitoring pond targeting organic breakdown, solids reduction and odour control — with no chemical additives.
Results
48% (164 → 86 mg/L)
COD reduction
91% (74 → 7 mg/L)
TSS reduction
Significantly reduced
Odour
8 days
Time to results
The speed of this result is what makes it remarkable — visible improvement in just over a week, with no chemicals, no disruption to operations. For food and drink processors in the UK and Ireland facing similar effluent challenges, Eco Balance Ltd provides the same rapid-deployment programmes.
